Gardeners are being encouraged to exchange their old garden nozzles for water efficient trigger nozzles under a State Government program to save water.
The program is providing 50,000 water efficient trigger nozzles as another way to encourage Victorians to conserve water around the home and reduce water bills at the same time.
Locals can exchange their old garden nozzles at their local Water Saver Garden Centre.
Locally, these include:
Acorn Nursery, Surrey Hills
Flower Power, Chadstone
Paradise Gardens, Burwood East
Principally Plants, Ashburton
Locals are being encouraged to take up this offer early to avoid disappointment. 14,000 trigger nozzles supplied in April were snapped up by keen gardeners in just one weekend.
Gardeners will receive a water efficient trigger nozzle in exchange for the twist nozzle model. Up to two nozzles may be exchanged per household.
“The free trigger nozzle exchange is a fantastic offer for garden enthusiasts but it was oversubscribed last time so we are urging people to get in quickly,” State Burwood MP, Bob Stensholt said.
